The Southeast Partners in Flight working group was formed in the early 1990s and consists of various stakeholders in the conservation and management of birds. The mission statement of Partners in Flight includes goals of helping species at risk by “keeping common birds common", and providing a venue for voluntary partnerships for birds, habitats and people. Traditionally, the Southeast PIF working has been an aggregation of individuals representing various groups, and currently active members include individuals from state and federal agencies, universities, Joint Ventures, Non-Governmental Organizations, and other organizations. We also welcome participation by undergraduate and graduate students working on research projects related to bird conservation, management, and ecology.
